Larry Willis established Acquisition Partners to accommodate the increasing demand for buy-side search assistance and to better serve the private equity industry. He completed undergraduate work at Brigham Young University and graduate work at BYU and Golden Gate University in San Francisco. He founded a CPA firm in 1987, specializing in business and personal financial planning and tax services. After helping many clients exit their business successfully, Larry founded The Independence Group, a business sales and acquisitions company. He holds a CBI certificate (Certified Business Intermediary) and the M&A MI (Merger & Acquisition Master Intermediary Designation). Throughout his career, Larry has owned and operated businesses in a variety of industry sectors. These include wholesale distribution, lodging, professional services and consumer products. Larry has a solid reputation in the lower-middle market among private equity groups and has served on many non-profit and work-related committees and organizations.
